We at LambdaTest have been busy shipping game-changing updates that make test authoring and debugging with KaneAI smoother than ever. Over the past few days, we’ve rolled out a comprehensive set of features and enhancements designed to eliminate friction from your testing workflow. Here’s everything that’s new in KaneAI.

New Additions to Enhance Your Workflows!

TOTP MFA Support

Testing applications with two-factor authentication just got effortless. LambdaTest’s AI testing tool, KaneAI now natively supports Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) authentication for both web and mobile applications. You can now author and replay OTP-protected login flows without needing external servers or writing custom code. The feature seamlessly integrates into your existing test workflows, making secure application testing as simple as testing regular login flows.

“Execute Till Here” One-Click Debugging

Debugging tests has never been more intuitive. When you’re in edit mode, simply hit the new “Execute Till Here” button to jump straight to any step in your test and automatically pause execution at that point. This gives you instant context without any guesswork, allowing you to quickly isolate issues and understand exactly what’s happening at any point in your test flow.

Some Major Enhancements

End-to-End Auto-Heal for Manual Tests

Our auto-healing capabilities now extend to manually crafted test steps. Whether you’re editing tests in the Playground or running full executions, hand-crafted steps will automatically self-heal when locators break. This dramatically reduces test maintenance overhead and keeps your test suites running reliably.

Built-In Wait for Element

Web test reliability gets a major boost with intelligent element waiting. Test steps now automatically pause for up to 10 seconds until elements appear on the page, eliminating timing-related failures. This feature is available today for Selenium Python code exports, with support for other frameworks coming soon.

Auto-Replay of Executed Steps

Efficiency meets reliability with our new auto-replay functionality. Steps that have already been executed will replay using automation instead of re-authoring, keeping your application state intact while saving valuable execution time. This is particularly useful during iterative test development and debugging sessions.

Enhanced User Experience

We’ve made significant improvements to the authoring experience based on your feedback. Here are some of the highlights:

Streamlined Fix Workflow: When you use manual interaction to fix issues, KaneAI now intelligently deletes only the problematic step and immediately jumps into recording mode, making error recovery faster and more intuitive.

Better Command Visibility: Edited commands are now clearly highlighted in the interface and can be re-run directly from that point, giving you better control over test execution flow.

Cleaner Interface: We’ve eliminated double loaders and other UI inconsistencies, resulting in a cleaner, faster interface that responds more quickly to your actions.

Whether you’re dealing with complex authentication flows, debugging intricate test scenarios, or simply trying to build robust test suites faster, these enhancements work together to remove friction from every part of your testing workflow.

The unified execution engine ensures consistency across all KaneAI features, while the enhanced auto-healing capabilities mean less time spent on test maintenance. Combined with improved debugging tools and a more intuitive user experience, these updates make KaneAI more powerful and easier to use than ever before.

Happy Testing!
